Most people come to dance trying to control everything through effort — holding the body, fixing the shoulders, tensing the neck. It feels like more effort should bring better results.

But excess tension makes movement heavy and restricted, turning dance into a struggle with one’s own body.

Our approach works differently. Instead of adding effort, we remove what is unnecessary. When tension disappears, posture becomes natural, the walk becomes lighter, and movement gains freedom and stability.

We don’t force the body into shape — we help it find balance. Movement becomes natural rather than controlled by force.

Over time, not only the dance changes. Everyday movement becomes easier, breathing freer, and connection with a partner more alive.

A beautiful dance is born from freedom, not tension.
To dance is to stop interfering with your own movement.

WS1 - Long leg technique,

soft ‘cat’ step

Soft movements, graceful steps, the pleasure of health and ease - you can get it all here and enjoy it for a lifetime. Gait should be natural, relaxed and beneficial to the body. Bouncing step and swaying, slouching and lordosis, sagging shoulders and drooping head - all these will disappear from your life forever with the right ‘cat’ step.

The method is based on the natural biomechanics of the human body. Nothing supernatural or unattainable. Designed for adults who have never been involved in dancing.

For those who have been dancing for a long time, the Nuevo Pasos method gives you the opportunity to look at your abilities from a different perspective.

Balance and confidence in every moment of your step.

Saturday 18.7.2026 - WS1  10:20 Long leg technique, soft ‘cat’ step without jumping or swaying.

WS2 - Colgada: from an interrupted step to a turn

A colgada is born from a simple side step that is interrupted at the last moment and transformed into a shared off-axis position with rotation of the couple around a common center.

In practice, we learn how to give a clear and unmistakable lead for the colgada — one that cannot be confused with a step, an ocho, or any other movement.

The main idea is not to force the partner into rotation, but to change the dynamics of the step at the right moment, creating a shared off-axis balance that naturally develops into a turn.

A colgada begins where the step does not end, but instead changes direction and becomes rotation.

Saturday 18.7.2026 - WS2 11:45 Colgada

WS3 - Natural adornments with the use of projection

Every step has two phases:
first comes projection — when movement begins but the weight still remains on the supporting leg,
and then weight transfer — the moment when the step is truly completed.

In this class, we will learn how to separate these phases and control the step without losing balance. Control of projection and precise weight transfer make movement clear, stable, and truly danceable.

After all, tango is the art of a simple step.

WS4 - Lifts and Supports in Tango — Without Excess Effort

Lifts and Supports in Tango — Without Excess Effort

Lifts and supports are not about strength or excessive tension, and they don’t have to harm the back or knees. When partners learn to use each other’s weight and movement as part of a shared motion, supports become smooth, natural, and visually effortless.

In this class, we will work on transforming rotation and falling energy into lifts combined with rotation, without unnecessary loss of energy. Instead of forcing movement, we learn how to redirect momentum so the couple moves as one system.

A good support is not about lifting someone — it is about moving together, efficiently and beautifully.
