Pierre Emmanuel (FR)
Neotango DJ
With more than 20 years of experience across many dance styles — from salsa, bachata, and kizomba to ballroom, modern jazz, and ballet — I discovered neo-tango as a space of constant renewal, where movement, connection, and musical diversity meet.
My musical choices are guided by emotion and the search for music that truly moves people. Eclectic and open in style, I simply aim to share these emotional moments with dancers on the floor.
"I grew up in a dance environment — my mother worked as a choreographer for nearly fifty years, and the stage was a natural part of my childhood.
I started dancing at the age of two and continued until seventeen, followed by a long pause shaped by life beyond dance.
In 2011, I returned to movement through Argentine Tango and later Tango Nuevo, which I have been studying and teaching for over thirteen years. In parallel, I spent eight years practicing martial arts, an experience that strongly influenced my understanding of balance, coordination, and efficient body use.
My professional path also includes a one-year internship at an Academy of Musical Arts, at the Department of Dance.
Based on this background, I developed a clear and accessible teaching approach focused on body awareness, natural movement, and comfort in dance.
My goal is to help dancers move with ease, confidence, and a deeper connection to their own bodies."
Marathon will take place in the building of the Archery club on the Střelecký ostrov (Archery Island) close to the Prague city centre. Střelecký ostrov is accessible by stairs from the bridge Most Legií, which connects both sides of Vltava river.
